Yes, there are good shopping malls in Coronado, Panama. There are a couple right now and some others in construction stages. They are not huge but you can purchase all your basics from food, electronic, furniture, hardware, wine, and clothing stores.
If you need something more specific you will have to drive to Albrook Mall in Panama City or West Land in Arraijan, a little closer to Coronado.

They are very good Shopping Malls in Panama City. You can find a variety of Shopping Malls for all needs. Within the most important ones are Albrook Mall, were you can find one of our hotels (TRYP by Wyndham), Multiplaza Pacific, Multicentro and Metro Mall. For sure Panama can be considered as a great destination for shopping, ecological tourism, meetings and conventions.

Stores and shops in Panama are wonderful. Shopping in Panama is VERY good.
Since we have the same temperature in Panama all year round you can use the same clothes all year round. The only difference is some months it rains and some months it does not rain.
When you go to our shopping malls in Panama City you will feel like you are in a shopping mall in the United States....all different price clothes, foot courts, movie...

In Panama we run the gamut of small shops mostly run by Chinese to the very large well stocked supermarkets. These supermarkets are operated in similar fashion as those found in the USA. We also have open air public markets that are a great treat to shop in if you are looking for native fruits, vegetable, sea food and even meany cuts of beef and pork all sold from open air stalls.
You will also find a very large Pharmacy company that has some very large and once again well...

With the expansion of the Canal and further globalization, Panamá now offers a variety of modern and excellent malls, where visitors can get casual items, as well as the finest clothing and jewelry, from Gucci to Chanel, or the less expensive and innovative items, as well as crafts from different ethnic groups in Panamá; all are found in malls in Panamá .
One of the good things for shoppers in Panamá City is that malls offer all kinds of items for sale, as well as well-known hotels in the same area, with local transportation between one another.
Visitors have the option to chose from many different malls, depending on their needs. For example, brand names are offered in almost all major malls; but if less expensive items are needed, as well as furniture, electrical, technology, or unique items, all is there.
Because of the affluence of visitors and foreign residents, more malls and shopping centers are built every year. At the present time, the most well known in the city (in Panama, we often refer to "Panama City" just as "the city"), are: Multiplaza, Multicentro, Albrook, and Metro. All have adjacent prime hotels, restaurants, movies and minor stores. You also find the popular Los Pueblos, Los Andes, and El Dorado shopping centers.
Driving away from Panamá City, after you cross the canal at the Bridge of the Americas, or Centennial Bridge, and go to the "Interior", which is the countryside, you also find Westland Mall, and furthermore, in Coronado are 3 more smaller malls, but very complete. Not to mention, that along the countryside, you find all kinds of shopping centers with everything.
Note: In the town of El Valle, you also find, in addition to excellent hotels and restaurants, the most picturesque public market with crafts, veggies, and all kinds of little interesting things, especially hats and hammocks. The public market in El Valle Is like their trademark.

Shopping in Panama is a paradise for those who enjoy hitting the racks hard. There are huge malls that may be too big for some to navigate in one day and smaller more manageable malls to enjoy. There is everything from high end shopping as you find in the US and abroad and many department stores scattered around for convenience. More malls are popping up throughout the country that will be more convenient for those not residing in or near Panama City. A great...Shopping in Panama is a paradise for those who enjoy hitting the racks hard. There is everything from high end shopping as you find in the US and abroad and many department stores scattered around for convenience. More malls are popping up throughout the country that will be more convenient for those not residing in or near Panama City. A great shopping experience is the Frontera that borders Costa Rica. I am not a big shopper, but I love entering a store from Panama and exiting the back entrance into Costa Rica. Deals are to be had everywhere. Some of our favorites in Panama City are: - Los Andes Discount shopping plaza/mall near Las Cumbres & Villa Zaita on Via Transistmica. (Dorian’s Dept. Store, El Costo, El Campeón and more.)
- Los Pueblos outdoor shopping mall located in the Juan Diaz area on Via España (Saks, Gran Morrison, Conway, El Campeón, Asian markets, etc.)
- El Dorado On Tumba Muerto is great for electronic shops and computer repair.
There is good bargain shopping at all and way too many to list. The fun is exploring and finding what you didn't expect or what you hoped to find. And by all means, do not pass up the local markets!

We have a lot of shopping malls in Panama. There is shopping just everywhere. Panama has really come a long way, in terms of shopping. It used to be that when I would go from Panama to the United States, I would stock up on certain products, mostly Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and horseradish sauce, but I no longer have to do that. I can find pretty much everything I need when shopping in Panama. We now have the Albrook Mall (above photo) as a convenient place to shop, which is right next to the transportation terminal and Albrook Airport, so anybody who wants to take trips to the interior of Panama or to Costa Rica, that is where they would go. We have the Multiplaza Mall, which is probably the ritziest mall in Panama. That one is located in Punta Pacifica, where the Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower Panama is located, as well as the hospital affiliated with Johns Hopkins. Then we have the Multicentro Mall, which is located in Paitilla, very near the Mutiplaza Mall in downtown Panama City. We have the Metro Mall, which is also downtown Panama City, but further to the east. The Westland Mall is located west of the Bridge of the Americas in Arraijan, and there is at least one other Mall, the Centennial Mall.
For the rest of Panama, there are big differences. You can drive half an hour away from Panama City and not be able to find an ATM machine, depending on your location. There are really big differences in infrastructure and amenities comparing Panama City to other areas outside of Panama City.
There are, however, other shopping areas outside of Panama City. Within one or two hours west of Panama City, there is Coronado, which is a kind of the hub for the beach areas. In Coronado, you can find pretty much all the amenities you need for everyday living. Since they built the first El Rey supermarket in Coronado back in 2001 (El Rey is one of our major supermarket chains here in Panama), people started living out there in Coronado on a full time basis who would normally otherwise live in Panama City. So that additional shopping is all that it took for Coronado to start to flourish.
And there are more hubs like that along the Pan American Highway, if you follow it west from Panama City towards Costa Rica. Most of these cities, for example Penonomé (which is the capital of the province of Coclé), is a hub and has a couple of grocery stores, shopping plazas, law firms, and a hospital; the things you need for everyday living. Santiago would be another hub.

You can go shopping everywhere in Panama City. There are a lot of malls here so you will find everything you need. The malls in Panama City are bigger than the malls in Spain, where I come from. The only thing that we have in Spain that there is not here in Panama City are stores that sell cheap merchandise. There are stores in Spain where you can buy shoes at a very low cost and you will not find anything like that here in Panama City.

It's about 1 million square feet, which is very large and is almost the same size as the Aventura Mall...

There are lower-end, mid-level, and high-end malls in Panama City. Most malls in Panama are pretty much the same as the malls in the United States as we copy most things from the US and we bring them here.
There are also malls outside Panama City, but they’re not big through. An example is Chiriqui Mall (located in David, the closest larger city to Boquete), which is only 10% the size of the Multiplaza.
