Best Places In the World to Retire Celebrates One Year Since Release to Search Engines

Oro Valley, Arizona, USA—May 1, 2014— Today, Best Places in the World to Retire celebrates its one-year anniversary since releasing to the major search engines.

“From time to time, it’s a good idea to take a break to review what you’ve accomplished, to celebrate those accomplishments, to make adjustments, and then to move forward again.  A one year anniversary is a good time to do that,” said Alan Alexander, Chairman of the Best Places Advisor Board.

Alan then summarized some of the accomplishments.  “We successfully implemented not just Panama, but also Nicaragua.  According to Goggle Analytics, our traffic went from absolute zero (because we hadn’t launched yet), to over 1,300 page views per day.  We now have over 200 contributors and 2,500 questions answered.  In Panama, we have some of the most prestigious companies in the country contributing or using our content, including VisitPanama.com (the official website of the Republic of Panama), Bern Hotels (largest hotel chain in Panama), Bern Properties (a very prestigious builder), Coronado Golf & Beach Resort (a famous resort and expat community), Panama Pacifica (an up and coming “mini city” and tech hub), etc.  In Nicaragua, we have the most prestigious law firm in the country, Garcia & Bodan, Gran Pacifica (the largest and most well-known planned expat community), Hospital Metropolitano Vivian Pellas (the best and largest hospital in Nicaragua), ProNicaragua (government organization promoting trade), and many, many others.  Everything is working well.”

Chuck Bolotin, Best Places’ Vice President of Business Development, Marketing & Sales added, “We are very happy with how we have been able to generate so much quality traffic, all through organic (not paid for or sponsored) search results.  This is the result of the efforts of two groups of people: 1) our technical and content team, which provided the platform; and, 2) our absolutely wonderful contributors, without which, none of this would be possible.  Best Places’ management contributes exactly zero content, so we’re 100% dependent on the willingness of our contributors to provide good, quality, useful content.  Happily, they’ve exceeded our expectations.  This is good for everyone: the visitors get great, usable, well organized content, and our contributors get exposure to people who, in the right circumstances, could become their clients.  Everyone wins.”

Alan Alexander furthered Chuck’s comments.  “In the year since we released, we’ve proven that, if our technical team does its job of providing the platform and our great contributors provide the content, Google and the other search engines will bring the traffic.  And, judging from the feedback we’ve received from our visitors, we’ve also proven that the content we, as a team, provide, is valuable and useful.  We couldn’t be more pleased.”
